Cat sitter in Hoeilaart by a cat behaviourist

Important message: I no longer offer cat sitting services

Dear cat owners,

I look back with so much warmth on the years I was able to care for your cats. It has been an honor to get to know so many wonderful cats, and they will always have a place in my heart. 🩷🐾🩷

Recently, I have taken a new path. With my focus on cat behavior coaching, I can no longer guarantee the level of quality in cat sitting that I find so important. That’s why I no longer offer this service.

👉 Where can you turn now?

  • For cat sitting, I recommend checking reliable platforms or asking your veterinarian for a professional pet sitter. Take your time to be selective and find a sitter who’s the right match for you and your cat(s).
  • Have you noticed your cat experiencing stress when you’re away? Or showing behaviors such as urinating outside the litter box, nighttime meowing or aggression? That’s exactly where I can support you today. Discover my coaching offer here: https://thepetcoach.be/ (website in Dutch but I also offer coaching in English).

Thank you so much for your trust over the past years. Caring for your cats has been incredibly meaningful to me! And I’m truly grateful to have been part of their lives. 💕💕💕

What is a cat sitter at home?

A cat sitter at home in Hoeilaart means your cat stays in her familiar environment while you’re away on holiday. No transport stress, no strange smells or sounds – just home, the way your cat likes it best.

I visit daily to provide care, calm, and loving attention.

As a cat behaviour therapist, I go beyond just feeding or cleaning the litter box. I tailor my approach to your cat’s personality. Whether she’s shy or social – I provide exactly what she needs in the moment.

Why choose an at-home cat sitter?

Cats are creatures of habit and feel safest in their own home. Changes like staying in a cattery can cause stress for many cats.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Personalised attention tailored to your cat’s character and energy level
  • Daily updates with photos or videos
  • Your cat sets the pace – I sense what they need and adapt accordingly
  • As a feline behaviourist, I quickly reassure your cat and work preventively to reduce stress
  • I also care for other animals (like fish, chickens, rabbits, …) with just as much love
  • Your home looks lived-in – an added layer of security
  • Small extras are included: watering plants, collecting mail, operating shutters, taking out the trash
  • Need medication administered? That’s also included in the price

Catteries can be stressful for some cats: new smells, strange noises, and unfamiliar animals.

Why not a cattery?

Catteries can be overwhelming: other animals, unfamiliar smells, loud sounds… Even the most social cats can experience stress there.

With an at-home cat sitter, you avoid:

  • Transportation stress
  • Forcing your cat to adjust to a new environment
  • Disrupting her daily routines
  • Risk of stress or illness
  • Extra charges per cat

Want to see how I work?

Your cat deserves to feel safe and relaxed – even when you’re not around.

About me

I’m Kelly, a feline behaviour therapist and in-home cat sitter based in Hoeilaart.

My love for cats began with Ziva, my own cat. She taught me how sensitive and complex cats are. Since then, I’ve continued to deepen my knowledge of feline behaviour and how we as humans can make a difference.

My approach blends scientific insight with intuition and genuine care. Therefore, I don’t offer a standard visit. I offer personalised attention so every cat gets what she needs.

My cat sitting covers Hoeilaart and Groenendaal.

What do cat parents in Hoeilaart say after my visits?

In their own words

Sharon

Mom of Onyx

“It was perfect for us. We felt lots of kindness and heart coming from you and your approach as well as a deep understanding of cat behaviour. We were surprised that you managed to connect so quickly with Onyx. So, we felt instantly at ease and in trust.

Tudor

Dad of Cookie and Rebecca

“Great care and attention to all the details! We could not be happier with the services and we always leave home assured that our two cats will stay happy, comfortable and healthy. If you need help with your cats, this is the right place to be! Kelly is very professional and she genuinely cares about our little cat friends. Our expectations were superseded by her services and her advice about little improvements for our senior cat’s comfort really worked and improved her quality of life. And on top of everything, she is a really nice person :)”

Spontaneous messages after my visit

After each cat sitting, I often receive a sweet thank-you message from the cat’s family. Below is a real screenshot from a spontaneous reaction I’ve received from cat owners in Hoeilaart.
